SCROLL
THE CONTEXT

An Italian manufacturer with a genuinely better product, entering the most defended shelf in American retail. Pampers and Huggies hold it. Nine other brands are already fighting for what is left.

The product was not the problem. The word for it was.

The Panolini size range
THE RANGE · A SIZE SYSTEM A FIRST TIME PARENT CAN READ IN ONE PASS
THE CHALLENGE

A superior product, filed under the wrong job.

Panolini makes a pull-on diaper with higher absorbency than anything in its price band. In the United States that format already has a meaning, and the meaning is wrong.

Pull-on means training pants, which means a toddler, which means a parent of a newborn will never look at it.

WHAT THE NUMBERS SAID

We read the category's economics rather than its advertising.

We mapped every brand on protection against price. Two movements mattered. Middle-income households were trading down. At the same time the premium and super-premium ends were growing.

The middle was hollowing out, and Pampers and Huggies had already extended in both directions to hold it. Entering against them on price or on protection alone meant losing on their terms, with their money.

THE OPENING
That is not a product preference. It is a definition.
Format was the opening. Pull-on is growing and taped is declining, but almost every American parent still buys tape, because that is what a diaper is.

THE STRATEGY

So we stopped selling a better diaper and started changing what the word means.

Panolini is positioned as shape shifting: a diaper that adapts to a baby's changing body through the day. Its core technology is aimed at total body protection, which is not leak prevention but comfort, fit and skin health.

It is engineered for ease. Simple sizing, easy placement, easy disposal. Everything the pack says, the pack can prove in the first thirty seconds of use.

THE REFRAME
You didn't know diapers could be like this. If something softer, freer and healthier existed, would you still choose tapes?
The trap in this category is shame. Tell a parent their choice is wrong and you lose them, because the diaper aisle is where new parents are least confident and most defensive. So the argument is built as a discovery rather than a correction. It disrupts the status quo without accusing anyone, and it opens a new identity to move into: the modern, forward thinking parent who upgraded. The brand is no longer arguing about absorbency. It is offering membership.

TESTED, NOT ASSERTED

Concept H ranked first on motivation and originality.

We put every concept into quantitative test before recommending one. Those two measures usually trade against each other. Concept H returned the highest score on both, and it is the one we built.

THE IDEA

The only line in the language that already means both things at once.

Look mom, no hands. The dictionary defines it as a boastful cry, originally by a child to a parent, seeking admiration for doing something difficult hands free. A child showing off, and a product that needs no tape. Nothing had to be explained. No tapes, no fuss, just a perfect fit.

NO TAPES, NO FUSS. JUST A PERFECT FIT.
THE APPLICATION

Built so a first time parent can size, understand and buy without reading a specification.

The site leads with the claim the category cannot make: the perfect fit-to-baby diaper. Sizing is visual. The benefit is stated before the ingredient list. The hands free demonstration carries from the hero straight through to the pack.

WHY IT MATTERS HERE

The clearest example of how we work when a client is outgunned.

We did not outspend the category leaders or out-claim them. We read the economics, found the definition everyone was operating inside, and moved the brand to the one place two giants could not follow without contradicting themselves.
