About

A Farm in Louisiana. A Family with Something to Say. The Kennedy family has been growing, processing, and selling rice in Mer Rouge, Louisiana for generations. It was their father, Elton Kennedy, who built the business and four daughters Meryl, Patchez, Felicity, and Chantel who watched him do it. When Elton retired, the sisters didn’t just take over. They saw a new chapter.

The Challenge

The Old Name Couldn’t Carry the New Vision.

The sisters had been operating under the KenChow brand a name built for their B2B wholesale operation. As they looked toward retail growth and direct-to-consumer expansion, it became clear that the brand wasn’t going to get them there. It didn’t reflect who they were, what they made, or where they were going.

The Challenge

We could have pushed their existing assets further. But after spending time with them learning the farm, learning the family we gave them honest advice: the business they wanted to build deserved a brand built from the ground up.

They trusted us. And we got to work.

The Solution

4Sisters...and a Farm in Louisiana.

We created a brand identity as warm, specific, and real as the family behind it. The name says everything: who they are, what they do, and where they come from. Fun. Memorable. Completely authentic.

The Challenge

The full brand launch included a comprehensive brand book, an animated story video walking viewers through the Kennedy family history and values, packaging across the entire product line (from Jasmine White to Organic Brown, Arborio to Parboiled), a website, and a social content system built to scale.

Every visual element the color palette, typography, illustration style was designed to stand out on a retail shelf while honoring the weight of a genuine origin story. A brand that earns trust on sight.

KidsFavs: A New Audience, a New World.

As we built the core brand, a clear opportunity emerged: kids. Rice is already a staple of family meals. What if it became something children actually got excited about?

RDLB developed KidsFavs a line of delicious, diverse, instant-cook rice meals made specifically for children. Each flavor comes with an original character kids can discover, collect, and look forward to seeing on the grocery shelf.

Chelsea Cheese is a fast-paced city girl with far too much on her mind for whacky adventures. Chicken Bob is a cowboy straight out of the Wild West. Butter Belle brings Southern comfort to every bowl. Tony Tomato brings the flavors of Italy to the family table.

Every pack includes a scannable QR code that takes kids straight from grocery aisle to playtime or story time turning a routine purchase into an experience. KidsFavs gave the sisters a new revenue category, a new audience, and a new reason for families to choose 4Sisters at every stage of life.

The Result

From a Family Business to a Family Brand.

;What started as a conversation about whether to push an old brand further became a full business transformation. The Kennedy sisters didn’t walk away with a new look they walked away with a new direction, a new audience, and a platform built to grow with them.

The 4Sisters brand now carries the integrity of generations, the energy of a new chapter, and the creative infrastructure to compete where it matters most: on the shelf, in the home, and in the memories families make around the table.
