Freedom Social Technology emerged as a visionary company with a mission to bridge the gap in political communication.

Founded by Ricardo De La Blanca (RDLB’s CEO), a serial entrepreneur and award-winning communications expert, Freedom aimed to leverage the transformative power of social technology to foster meaningful connections and influence positive change within the political arena. However, realizing the limitations of a solely application-based approach in addressing the complex challenges of today's digital and political environment, Freedom utilized RDLB's Brand Workshop to embark on a strategic pivot. This case study outlines the mission, strategy, and accomplishments of this pivotal brand workshop.
Freedom Social Technology was conceived to address a critical challenge: the growing divide in political communication. Leaders worldwide struggled to efficiently connect with their electorate and party members, leading to instability and mistrust across democracies. Despite the initial success of Freedom’s application among major global democratic institutions, it became evident that a more comprehensive approach was necessary to tackle the nuanced demands of digital-era political consulting.
The strategy for the brand workshop was to renovate and pivot Freedom from its original application-based model to a leading force in political consulting. This involved a multi-faceted approach focusing on various aspects of the brand to ensure a holistic transformation.
The workshop was designed around the following key components:

Copy & Typography: Crafting compelling phrases paired with dynamic typography to articulate Freedom’s new direction and ethos. This combination was aimed at making a bold statement about Freedom’s evolution and its capabilities in the political consulting space.

Type Explanation: The clean lines of the sans-serif font reflect clarity in communication, aligning with the company's dedication to transparency. Its modernity is a nod to the innovative use of social technology in political campaigns.

Who We Are - Scrollytelling: A visual timeline was created to chronicle Freedom’s journey from its inception to its current pivot. This grid illustrated the evolution of the company, highlighting key milestones and the strategic shift towards political consulting.

‘Peak-a-Boo’ What We Do: An interactive section designed to engage visitors by revealing Freedom’s services and strengths in a dynamic, engaging manner. This aimed to communicate Freedom’s multifaceted approach to solving political communication challenges.

Mobile Optimization: Ensuring that Freedom’s digital presence was fully optimized for mobile users, reflecting the company's commitment to accessibility and cutting-edge technology.

Colors & Mobile Menu: A carefully selected color palette and a user-friendly mobile menu were developed to enhance the brand's visual identity and improve user navigation, respectively.

Grid Systems & Details: Implementing a robust grid system for content organization, complemented by meticulous attention to detail in all design elements, to create a cohesive and visually appealing online presence.

Web Design Video: Incorporating video elements into the web design to convey Freedom’s story and services in a dynamic and engaging format.

Contact & Photography: Designing a user-friendly contact section paired with captivating photography that captures the essence of Freedom’s mission and activities.

Design Elements: We played with unique design elements such as circles, dots, and arrows to symbolize connectivity, movement, and direction—core principles of Freedom’s renewed focus with a modern minimalist aesthetic.
The RDLB Brand Workshop with Freedom Social Technology resulted in a comprehensive brand overhaul that not only redefined Freedom’s identity but also strategically positioned it as a frontrunner in the political consulting arena.
Through a combination of innovative design elements, strategic messaging, and a forward-thinking digital strategy, Freedom has been transformed into a beacon of innovation and expertise in political communication. This pivot not only addresses the initial challenge of political disconnection and miscommunication but also sets a new standard for how political consulting can leverage digital advancements to foster democracy and trust across the globe.
